Introducing the Soul Wheel — Your Initial Assessment

This is where it all begins. Before we dive into any single area of your life, we start by looking at the whole picture — because that's the whole point. The Soul Wheel gives you a bird's-eye view so you can stop guessing at what's off and start working with what's actually there.

Think of your life like a bicycle wheel made up of different spokes. Every spoke plays a role in how smoothly you ride. When one spoke is shorter than the others, the wheel wobbles. You can keep going — but it costs more energy, and the ride gets bumpier over time. The goal of the Soul Wheel is not to make every spoke a perfect 10. It's to bring them into balance with each other, so your life can move forward with ease.

The Soul Wheel is made up of eight life areas: Connection to Self, Physical Well-being, Emotional Health, Mental Clarity and Growth, Relationships and Community, Creative Expression and Joy, Career and Purpose, and Financial Harmony. Each one matters. Each one affects the others. And none of them can be fully separated from the rest.

This lesson is your invitation to get honest with yourself — not harsh, but honest. There's a real difference between those two things. We are not here to catalog everything that feels wrong. We're here to get curious about what's calling for attention, what's quietly thriving, and what small shifts might create the biggest ripple. You have more awareness than you think. This is just the tool that helps you use it.

One important note before you complete your assessment: this is a living exercise. The ratings you give today are not permanent verdicts. They are a snapshot. As your life changes, your spokes will shift — and you will return to this assessment again and again. That is not failure. That is the whole practice.

🌬  BREATHWORK PRACTICE

Before completing your assessment, take 2 minutes with Extended Exhale Breathing: inhale for a count of 4, exhale slowly for a count of 8. Do 4–6 rounds. This activates your parasympathetic nervous system so you can assess from a grounded, clear place rather than from stress, anxiety, or the noise of your day.

The Initial Soul Wheel Assessment

Rate each spoke between 1 and 10 based on how this area of your life feels right now — not how you want it to feel, not how it used to feel. Right now. Use a separate sheet of paper or a journal to record your answers.

Use this scale as your guide:

1–3  |  This area feels depleted, disconnected, or stuck. It needs real attention.

4–6  |  This area is functional, but it's not flourishing. More alignment is available here.

7–9  |  This area is healthy and mostly aligned. Small tweaks could create even more ease.

10   |  This area feels fully alive, aligned, and sustainable. (These are beautiful — and they shift. That's okay.)

Once you've rated all eight spokes, take a moment to look at the spread. Notice what surprises you. Notice where you rated higher than you expected. Notice where the gaps are. You don't need to fix anything yet. Just notice.

Reflection Questions

  1. Which spoke surprised you most — either higher or lower than you expected?

  2. If one spoke could receive your full attention for the next 30 days, which one would have the biggest positive ripple effect on your life?

  3. Is there a spoke you've been avoiding looking at honestly? What's made it hard to look?

  4. Which spoke feels most connected to the others right now? Which feels most isolated?

  5. What would it mean for your daily life if your lowest-rated spoke moved up just two points?

  6. Where in your body do you feel the weight of your lowest-rated spoke? Where do you feel the energy of your highest?
